some concepts on the artprize 2010 entry. we had to balk at our spot on the river. we are looking at a couple different venues. sponsorship is key. the logistics of building the SteamPig are just as daunting as they were for building Nessie. Think turn-of-the century industrial revolution in modern times…                    the flying machines of the early 1900s and an animal that shouldn’t fly…   We, NessieProject(AAG), represent a collective of artists, designers, engineers, fabricators, model-makers and builders. Our approach is to create a giant Atomic Steam Pig in the vain of ‘steampunk’ or a mix of turn-of-the-century architecture and elements of the Industrial Revolution.
An homage to the machinist mentality of the late 1800’s and early 1900’s  the steam engines that propelled the railroad and images from novels by authors Jules Verne and H.G. Wells.
